HyperV Technologies Corp. wins ARPA-E Fusion Award

ARPA-E announced awards today under its new Accelerating Low-cost Plasma Heating and Assembly (ALPHA) program. HyperV Technologies Corp. is one of the award winners, as part of a collaboration led by Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The team also includes the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the University of New Mexico, Tech-X Corporation, and Brookhaven National Laboratory. The $5.88M award runs for three (3) years and will include development of new coaxial plasma guns, construction and operation of a 60 gun spherically imploding plasma liner experiment at LANL, and extensive diagnostic measurements and computational modeling of the imploding plasma liner physics.
